Therapeutic Paws of Canada offers a unique program to partnering organizations in the judicial system, aptly named "Support Pets". The Support Pet and their handler will be appearing in courts in several Ontario communities. Enquiries have been received from other provinces but growth is dictated by finances. The Support Pets participating in this new program are Child Certified and they will support vulnerable people during their testimony and court appearances. Congratulations to Michele Peddle and Jasmine, the first TPOC Support Pet volunteer to be scheduled to "Share the Love". Jasmine is a little bundle of pure love. Her presence and support will help the person to find their voice. The power of a therapy dog's unconditional love and support can't be measured. it's priceless! Michele and Jasmine are very active in their community with other TPOC programs. Jasmine enjoys visiting children and helping reluctant readers improve their reading skills. Jasmine's schedule is busy with visits to Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby and St. Stephens Secondary School in Bowmanville, as well as, Grandview Children's Treatment Centre.
